The program honors institutions with a broad-based program, achieving success in many men’s and women’s sports.The Aggies picked up 43.5 points in the standings, following a 28th-place team finish at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Utah State was paced at the championships by a fifth-place finish from the men’s distance medley relay team, composed of seniors Jordan Beutler, Brady Martin, Clay Lambourne and Dillon Maggard. Maggard also had a fifth-place individual finish in the 3,000-meter race with a time of 8:06.69 for first-team All-American honors.Utah State now has 177 points and is ranked No. 60 in the 228-team field. New Mexico is the highest-ranked Mountain West institution in the standings at No. 36, followed by Boise State (45), Colorado State (53) and Air Force (57). Wyoming and San Diego State round out MW institutions in the top-100 at No. 81 and No. 93, respectively.
