North Park hit-and-run hospitalizes pedestrian Categories: Local San Diego News FacebookTwitter KUSI Newsroom, Updated: 12:40 PM SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A 30-year-old man in the North Park community of San Diego suffered non-life threatening injuries Sunday when he was struck by a hit-and-run motorist who abandoned his vehicle, police said.The pedestrian was walking southbound in the 3800 block of 30th Street at about 1:30 a.m. when he saw a motorist driving without headlights on, San Diego Police Officer John Buttle said.“The victim and suspect exchanged words and the victim continued walking southbound,” Buttle said.As the pedestrian got to the intersection of North Park Way and 30th Street and was crossing the street, the motorist allegedly drove toward the man and hit him, continuing southbound in the 3700 block of 30th Street, he said.Paramedics rushed the victim to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries and police found the motorist’s vehicle unoccupied in the 4000 block of Meade Avenue, Buttle said. We asked Lucky Ali to tell us about himself. But , we must ask – why have we not seen an album from Ali in so long? That’s because he has been releasing his music online, he says. But coming from the age where cassettes and cds mattered, doesn’t releasing music online seem odd? ‘The whole industry has changed, at the end of the day people are still listening to music and that’s what matters!’ says Ali adding that there’s far more music happening online than on television. ‘It felt cheap asking for money for music. I released my songs through social media and I got the response I was looking for,’ he says. But Ali explains that he doesn’t fit in Bollywood, that music isn’t his ‘kind’ of music. But as ‘the road to hell is full of good intentions’ (and we quote!) – Ali has lent his voice to some brilliant Bollywood songs, but only for a virtue called friendship. And what’s keeping Ali busy these days? Lots of collaborations and compilations and of course – travel and family, he says adding that, ‘Things have gone beyond releasing an album. It is more about finishing a song and pushing it over SoundCloud.’ But no matter where the song is, Ali believes that ‘music is constant, people will always be open to listening to music!’Ali grew up with the likes of Led Zeppelin and Metallica, these legends taught him all about the ‘feel’ of the song but the melody comes from India. Naming Kailash Kher, Rabbi, AR Rahman, Raghu Dixit, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan as his favourites, Ali says that people express themselves differently in music. But that is where the magic is.

The app store allows you to change the meta-data within your app depending on which country is searching for your app. Some companies have used a mixture of Google translate and native speakers to help localize their apps, so it shouldn’t be too difficult for you to localize as well. Localization is a huge aspect of having an effective presence globally. Just think of all these untapped markets that you can reach and how easily you could acquire more users with these markets. Use powerful images and wording.Once people are able to discover your app, the rest is up to how well your app listing converts into downloads. To optimize conversions, you must use beautiful images to entice users to want to download your app. Make sure to include the most attractive aspects of your app and to include captions in the pictures as well. You’d be surprised at how a simple tweak of an image or word can translate in terms of conversion percentages.5. Pay attention to ratings, reviews and the description.When was the last time you downloaded an app that had one star? Ratings and reviews don’t factor in as much to discovery as the keywords and the title, but they do have a huge impact on conversion rates. Users are probably more likely to download your app if it has received a large number of positive reviews. Follow the data.App store optimization is an ongoing process that takes experience, time and testing to get right. Make sure to thoroughly test out keywords over periods of time, and also test out the images/description of your app to see which ones are converting the best.
